Project Description
Planting a garden in the heart of a Horta property on Avenue Louise. No Art Nouveau brushstrokes here, but a symphony of various grasses, along with more classic touches like anemones and hydrangeas, not to mention the palm tree and bamboo for an exotic flair.
The soil, as rich as a quick sketch by Horta (meaning, not very), was amended with compost and soil conditioner to ensure optimal plant growth.
Project Challenges
The main challenge? Working with poor soil and preventing weeds from becoming organic masterpieces. A yearly visit is enough to trim the dried grass stems.

- Honor nature with a design that is both functional and aesthetic.
We sought a balance between low-maintenance gardening and the art of blending plants with natural architecture, much like Horta, but in a garden form!
Project Solutions
A mulch of aged, nearly black shredded branches covers the soil, preventing weed growth. This natural mulch also nourishes the soil in the long run through decomposition, while creating a beautiful contrast with the lush vegetation.

With this garden, maintenance is minimal, style is maximal, and the Horta touch... well, it stays in the creative spirit with a green wink!
